Swains Cay Andros Private Island is a 2.2 Acre private Island just off the eastern coast of Mangrove Cay and located approximately three miles from the airport. Mangrove Cay is just a short 15 minute flight from Nassau where there are four flights per day (two in the morning and two in the evening). The island comes with a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow approximately 1500 square feet, which sits on a fresh water cistern which is designed to catch rain water off the roof of the house (the roof is new and was replaced several months ago). The house also has a propane refrigerator and cooker and there is a 12 volt pump that pumps water from the cistern all day and the battery is recharged at night. There is also a generator to power the house. The island has a small dock for a boat and a small beach on the eastern side of the island.

There are three blue holes within snorkeling distance of the island and good bone fishing flats around the cay. The third barrier reef in the world is just about a mile east of the island. There are also many birds that roost in the mangroves to the west of the cay.

To get to Swains Cay is a short flight to Mangrove Cay from Nassau and a short taxi ride to Seascape Inn, from there you can walk to the key at low tide or take a boat at high tide.

Andros is known as the Bonefish capital of the world where fishermen flock every year to enjoy the best in fishing adventures in the flats.
